Specialized ICUs at HSC

An Intensive Care Unit was opened in the Children’s Hospital in 1966. For more information on this ICU, click here. See below for additional information on the Neonatal ICU and the Pediatric ICU.

Over time, more specialized ICU departments were opened at HSC. These include:

  • Surgical Intensive Care (SICU)
  • Intermediate Intensive Care (IICU)
  • Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU)
  • Pediatric Intensive Care (PICU)
